The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for all of the phenomenal acts of kindness and comfort during the illness and transition of our loved one. May God Bless and keep you is our Prayer.

Ms. Johnnie M. Bogar age 84 of Dothan, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 1st at Westside Terrace Healthcare in Dothan, Alabama surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Johnnie Mae Bogar was born on January 30, 1935, in Houston County, AL to the late Elisha and Gatsy Lou Patterson Macon. She was educated in the public schools of Houston County.
Johnnie was a machinist that operated a commercial grade sewing machine which produced slip covers and drapery for furniture. She was member of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church when she lived in St. Petersburg, FL. Later, she relocated to Alabama where she joined Jerusalem Community Church in Gordon.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Benjamin "Big Eddie" Macon, Sr.; Azell Macon, Sr.; Elisha "Junior" Macon, Jr.; West L. Macon; and Etheleen Turner Davis.
Johnnie leaves to mourn her passing; her son, Edward Bogar (Regina); Four grandchildren; Antonio Jones, Dothan, AL; Kierra Bogar, Dothan, AL; Jessica Springfield, Savannah, GA and Caleb Bogar, Dothan, AL.
Two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

I count it a blessing to have had the opportunity to experience Aunt Johnnie and Aunt Leen. So many laughs and memories. Johnnie Bogar Rest In Peace. To the Macon family, may you all cherish the wealth of memories of your mother, aunt, grandmother, cousin, and so forth. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! Amen.
