Ms. Bessie ivory age 61 of Malone, FL passed away Thursday, April 9th at Jackson Hospital.
Ms. Bessie Louise Ivory was born on May 6, 1958, in Jackson County, Florida to the late Gladys Smith and the late Trexie C. Collins.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined McChapel AME Church, where she served faithfully and diligently as a Steward, Stewardess and a church member.
She retired from the Department of Corrections after 25 years of service in May of 2018 as a Sergeant.
She answered God's call, took flight and transitioned to her heavenly home to be with Jesus on April 9, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Stephanie Zandra Granberry; a sister: Elvie Lee Davis; four brothers: Waymond L., William C. Sr., John Smith and one at a very young age.
She leaves cherished memories with two loving children: Stephen E. Rolle, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL & Eboni K. Ivory of Malone , FL; seven siblings: George B. Smith (Anna Ruth) of Lakeland, FL; Essie V. Smith of Mulberry, FL; Raymond C. Smith (Mary) of Malone, FL; Arthur L. Smith (Lisa) of Bascom, FL; Nellie M. Martinez (George) of Lynn Haven, FL; Phillip C. Smith (Ethel) of Gordon, AL and Carol A. Britt (Reginald) of Campbellton, FL; two grandchildren: Taylor D. and Kennedy N. Granberry of West Palm Beach, FL; one sister-in-law: Mary Joe Smith of Lakeland, FL; two godsons: Tyrell White (U S Army) of EL Paso, TX and Keon Hamilton of Malone, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
