Mrs. Chelcie Dillard McKinnie age 88 of Campbellton, FL made her peaceful transition on Wednesday 21, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mother Chelcie Dillard-McKinnie was born July 28, 1929 in Greenwood, Florida, to the late Ned Dillard, Sr. and Priscilla Glover-Dillard-Myrick. She professed Christ at an early age and joined St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church, where she was recognized as the Mother of the Church.

She was united in Holy Matrimony for 70 years to Shira McKinnie, Sr. on August 18, 1947, in Campbellton, FL, where she leaves a legacy of strong family values, hard work, commitment, and love...

She worked at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, in Dothan, AL, where, upon her retirement, she was the center's oldest and longest- tenured employee with over 30 years of experience. In her leisure time, she loved to fish, sew, cook, and bake. She, loved passionately and unconditionally, and she loved to fish, fish, fish, and did we forget to mention, fish?

She was preceded in death by five siblings; and three children, Linda, Larry and Frazier McKinnie.

As part of her legacy, she leaves cherished fruits of her life with: Her husband Shira (SH) Mckinnie, Sr. Ten Children: Jelterow McKinnie, Sr., Johnny M. McKinnie (Earlene), Christine McKinnie Daniels (Selma), Shira McKinnie, Jr. (Mary Christine), Matthew C.C. McKinnie, Sr. (Joyce C.), Randolph L. McKinnie, Sr. (Wanda), Willis F. McKinnie, Sr. (Deborah), Adrienne McKinnie, Alex B. McKinnie, (Joyce G..) and Phillipia S. McKinnie (Allison). (30) Grandchildren; (42) great-grand children, and numerous great- great grandchildren; (4) brother in-laws: Eloied Odell McKinnie and Reverend William Harvey, Mancefield and John Hitchmon; (3) sister in-laws: Mary Lois McKinnie-Britt, Cathy Nell McKinnie-Murray, and Eleanor McKinnie- Jones; A special cousin whom she treated as a son Majid Shabazz as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives, and friends.
