Mr. DeShannon LaTrent Weatherington age 42 of Slocomb, AL (Antioch Community) passed away Saturday November 21st 2020.
DeShannon was a loving, kind, and generous person. He brought joy and laughter to his family and friends his entire life. His untimely departure has left his family trusting and depending on God for strength and understanding.
DeShannon LaTrent was born on June 5, 1978 to Barbara Weatherington and Willie C. Robinson, Jr. in Dothan, AL. As a child, he brought joy to family through laughter and entertainment. He was known as the dare devil in the family. He also enjoyed playing baseball and was great at being a switch hitter. He was baptized at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church located in the Stateline Community. He received his education from the Houston and Jackson County School Systems. He served his Country as a soldier in the United States Army. Trent, as he was affectionately called by his family, surrendered to the will of God on Saturday, November 21, 2020.
DeShannon LaTrent was preceded in death by, his grandfathers: Wesley Ozie Weatherington and Willie C. Robinson, Sr.; his aunts: DeLorise Weatherington, Maxine Weatherington Olds, and Laura Robinson.
DeShannon LaTrent is survived by and will be sorely missed by a loving family. His mother: Barbara Weatherington; his father: Willie C. Robinson Jr.; his grandmother, who he affectionately called Mama: Annie Ruth Weatherington, raised him as her son; his grandmother: Metterean Robinson; his devoted fiancée: LaKisha Gainer; his precious daughter and apple of his eye: KiShannon DeLorise Weatherington; his two sons, the beats of his heart: Brystnn Patrick and Christian Weatherington; two bonus sons: Jamaris and Jnorris Gainer; sisters: Michaela Weatherington, LaTesha Weatherington, T'Nesha Neale, and Whitney Robinson; brothers: Ryan (Tina) Weatherington, Colston (Kristine) Weatheringon, Shawn (Anita) Weatherington, Jason Weatherington, and Willie Robinson; God mother: Sandra Davis; God sister and God brother: Dexter Richardson and LaTania Coachman; nieces: Jacksynn and Journi Weatherington, and Dexi Gilbert; nephews: Jordan Weatherington, Clay and Coby Gilbert, Derrick and Wesley Weatherington, Elijah and Zay Weatherington; two God children: Lucas and Preston; loving maternal aunts: Esther Weatherington and Edna Wesley; maternal uncle: Victor Weatherington; paternal aunts: Betty Sue Carswell, Loretha Spears, and Doris Phillips; paternal uncles: Bradis and Tommy Robinson; special cousins: Minister Shelonda Rhynes, Cornelius Wesley, Lee Wesley, Hyson Watson; special relatives: Linda Madison, Minister Dorothy Bogar, Tony Wesley, Zacari Williams, Benji Tyson and Serena Robinson; and host of other special aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
