Obituary for Mr. Earnest Lee "Bug" Riggs, Jr

April 10, 1972 - March 17, 2021
Crestview, Florida | Age 48

Loving Husband, Father, Son and Brother

Earnest Lee "Bug" Riggs, Jr. age 48, was born April 10, 1972 to Ms. Christine Riggs and Mr. Earnest Riggs, Sr in Portland, Oregon. His family relocated to Ft. Walton Beach where Bug was educated in the Okaloosa County School System. He was a member and regularly attended Beulah First Baptist Church. He remained in Fort Walton Beach among family and friends until his death. Bug was a successful entrepreneur. He worked hard and built one of the premier concrete businesses in Northwest Florida - Riggs Concrete. This is a testament to his vision, drive, dedication and determination. He was also owner of C&E Entertainment and was responsible for coordinating and sponsoring celebrity concerts and entertainment shows in the local area. Bug was an active participant in the lives of his nieces and nephews, and viewed by them as a father figure. He actively contributed to their success by guiding, and offering advice and support when needed. This guidance helped them become self-sufficient and business owners in their own right. On Wednesday evening, March 17, 2021 Bug's life came to a sudden end. He was fun-loving, warm at heart, well known and liked by all who knew him. He will be held dear in our hearts for a long time. Bug was preceded in death by twin sons Jeremy & Jamie Riggs; maternal grandmother Alma Lee Thornton; paternal grandfather George Riggs, Sr; paternal grandmother Louise Riggs; aunt Terry Gail Whitley, uncle Anthony Thornton; and cousin Dondre Wright. Bug leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life, Camisha Riggs – with whom he shared his life with for over 30 years; two beautiful daughters Tennia & Taniquia Riggs; five sons Aaron Miller, Dominique Robinson-Riggs, Earnest Lee "Ernie" Riggs, III, Quiandre "Keke" Richardson and Keontae Riggs; a caring mother Christine Riggs; father Earnest Lee Riggs, Sr (Renee); mother-in-law Juanita Payne; two sisters Julie Gomez & Erlicia Brumfield-Riggs (New Orleans); three brothers Frederick (Elisha) Riggs; Jeremy (Latosha) Riggs and Jamie Riggs; four grandchildren De'ashia Dawsey; A'rayla Riggs; Qui'Ari Richardson and Quishaun Richardson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.

Repast will follow interment at the Chester Pruitt Park.
