Obituary

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. We are traveling through this land as pilgrims. Some travel faster than others. Howard started his journey March 11, 1936. He traveled for eighty-three years and twenty days.
Howard Roulhac Horne, Jr., a descendent of the late Howard Horne Sr. and Grace Roulhac Horne departed this life April 2nd, 2019 at Nolan Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.
Howard grew up in Washington County (Orange Hill Community). He received his elementary and secondary education in the schools of Washington County. Upon graduation, he matriculated to Florida A and M University. Realizing there was a need for him by his country he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served for over 17 years with tours of duty in The Republic of South Korea and the Republic of Vietnam. After, leaving the military he was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator and a Brick Layer until his health declined.
Howard, confessed God as his personal Lords and Savior at an early age by joining Saint Joseph A.M.E Church and later Grant Tabernacle A.M.E. Church, Chipley Florida.
Howard was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Maggie Rea Thomas, (who he affectionately called Mag) who departed this life April 1st, 2010.
