Loving Father, Grandfather and Brother

Obituary

James Edward English was born November 2, 1946 to the late Eddie Brown Sr and the late Queenie Lowe. He departed from this life on Monday, September 9, 2019 surrounded and comforted by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann English, his daughter, Ulander Martin, his sister, Shirley Lowe, and his brothers, John (Diane) Leatherwood, Melvin Lowe, Otis Lowe, and George Lowe. James was born in Uriah, AL. Everyone who knew him called him "Pluke" or "Plute". He absolutely loved the outdoors, yard work, and gardening but fishing was his number one hobby. James was a very hard working and caring man who loved to joke around with family and friends every chance he got. More importantly, James was the most loving, supportive, and caring father that you could have ever met; not only to his daughters but to his nieces and nephews as well. He leaves love and cherished memories to the three loving and devoted children: Synthoria Cooley of Mobile, AL, La Shunda English of Fort Stewart, GA, and Victorial English of Crestview, FL and special daughter, Elnora Smith; Grandchildren: Nieaira Ricks, Desmond Thornton, Nydia Thornton, Timberly Barnes and one very special granddaughter, Aniyah Clark; Two Great Grandchildren: Jordan Gilberry and Morgan Gilberry; Seven sisters: Edna (Hank) Smith of Pontiac, MI, Linda Brown of Robertsdale, AL, Shirley Brown of Bay Minette, AL, Mary (Peter) Darrington of Atmore, AL, Anita Caffey of Spanish Fort, AL, Annie Brown of Bay Minette, AL, and Georgia (Steven) Barnes of Bay Minette, AL; Eight Brothers: Ledell (Linda) Lowe of Memphis, TN, Jerome (Annie) Lowe of Loxley, AL, Hurbert Lowe of Mobile, AL, Elbert (Emma) Martin of Delaware, Eddie (Barbara) Brown Jr. of Bay Minette, AL, Tommie Brown of Bay Minette, AL, Larry Brown of Spanish Fort, AL, and Darron (Deloris) Brown of Daphne, AL; three Special Nieces: Olivia Knight, Mildred Couch, and Yarnette Wiley; two Special Nephews: Archie Parks and Willie Thomas; two Special cousins: Nathaniel (Patricia) English and Brenda English; two Special Friends: Freddy Brown and Eddie Knight; and two very Special Sister-in-Laws: Shirley Knight and Catherine Parks; and a host of other close relatives and friends.
